Winter wonderland!

I just wanted to show everyone what type of weather I'm dealing with today! It's a winter wonderland! I guess I should get used to this, because I have a feeling this is how it'll be for the next 5 or 6 months! The mountains do look beautiful with the snow covering them, I'll try to get out one of these days when I don't have to work and take some photos of that.

Out of the bosom of the Air,
Out of the cloud-folds of her garments shaken,
Over the woodlands brown and bare,
Over the harvest-fields forsaken,
Silent, and soft, and slow
Descends the snow.

from Snow-flakes by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

First I'm inclined to poke fun and say "Ha ha - I can wear shorts and a tank top and still get a sunburn down here!" but then after reading your excerpt I remember how beautiful and peaceful the snow is and I'm suddenly homesick, dreaming of New England...Those pictures are very pretty!

Wow, I wish I could say the snow looks pretty but it doesn't.... it looks cold and dreary and I'm sooo dreading winter!!!!! Be careful driving, Heather- and Amy, could you please soak up a few rays for me!?
